Deccan Herald, The Hindu

The International Tech Park, Bangalore, as part of its social welfare agenda, will conduct a blood donation camp at its premises in association with the Bangalore Medical Services Trust, a non-profit trust of Rotary Club of Bangalore and the TTK Group. The drive is open to employees of the Park as well as people in the Whitefield area.

The Camp will be held at the Tech Park Mall and will be conducted from 10:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Rotary - TTK Blood Bank is one of the few private Blood Banks that has been recognized by the Government of Karnataka as a "Regional Blood Transfusion Centre". The Bank collects blood from voluntary donors and screens it for various diseases, including AIDS, before issuing it to various patients in Karnataka and neighboring states. 3-4 patients benefit from each unit of blood collected.

The International Tech Park offers a complete "work, live and play" environment for technology-savvy companies, many of them in information technology and research and development. The Park fully integrates office, production and retail space. It also has executive residential apartments and its retail mall already has services such as bank, laundry service, cafeteria, medical centre and health club/fitness centre. The Park is a joint venture between the Tata Industries (the investment arm of the Tata Group); a Singapore consortium led by JTC International, which is the international arm of Singapore's largest industrial developer, Jurong Town Corporation; and the Karnataka State Government through KIADB.
