The International Tech Park, Bangalore organized a treat for the Parkites last evening, as a part of the year-end bash, through a musical and fun filled evening of 'song and dance'. The concept namely 'Twilight Zone', featured 'Bangalore's No. 1 young & vivacious band 'AURKO'.
For the Park employees who have been letting their hair down at the 'Noon Time Binge' and 'Moonlighting @ Tech Park', 'Twilight Zone' has been the latest addition to their 'entertainment calendar'.
Parkites got together in a great ambience created at The Fountain area of the Tech Park Mall and joined AURKO's refreshing voices to recreate the nostalgia of a musical era.
AURKO, comprising Supratik, Ujjayinee, Akash, Sudakshina and Souvik, all of whom have been finalists at the prominent TVS Sa Re Ga Ma, have a repertoire of over 2000 songs from contemporary Hindi films / Hindi Pop / Remixes to Retro Hindi film songs.
The event began with AURKO's mellow music numbers to more peppy and foot-tapping songs to get Parkites swaying to the melodies. While entertaining requests, from Kishore Kumar to Shaan, Lata Mangeshkar to Falguni Pathak, Mohd. Rafi to Sonu Nigam, from Ghazals to Pop and Bhangra, the band blended this reminiscence, by following it through with contemporary music.
The compere, RJ Soma, kept the fun alive with whacky contests to get the audience into top gear. Many lucky winners took home a host of prizes from Spice Telecom and Radio Indigo.
Mr. Chan Kah Hoe, CEO, ITPL, said, "With the festive mood in the air, the Twilight Zone came as a celebration for all the Parkites. We would be looking at many more such events in the new year to come."
