Galeej Gurus Rocks the International Tech Park
Bangalore, January 30, 2004

The International Tech Park in association with Radio Indigo today organized a treat for the techies at the Fountain area of the Tech Park Mall. A musical and fun filled afternoon of hip-sounding "progressive-funk", and all encompassing "rock`n`roll" featured the 'Galeej Gurus', Bangalore's popular young and vivacious band.

This performance was part of the promotion activity for the forthcoming Bryan Adams India Live 2004 concert to be held in Bangalore on the 8th of February 2004. This concert, presented by McDowell's No.1 Soda in association with Pepsi, Britannia Little Hearts Orange, Hero Honda Karizma and Channel [V], is produced by DNA Networks.

The band belted a series of numbers from the all time hits of Bryan Adams, which was the highlight of the afternoon. 'Summer of 69', '18 till I die', 'Straight from the heart', 'Here I am', 'Can't stop this thing we've started' to name a few. This was a tribute to the great rocker Bryan Adams, a truly magnificent multifaceted personality who has to his credit 10 Grammy Awards and 12 Platinum hits worldwide. He has sold more than 50 millions copies, has been number one on the charts of more than 30 countries, has written and sung with musical icons, from Pavarotti to Barbara Streisand. The universal appeal of Bryan Adams is what attracts the young and old alike.

From the time of its inception as a college band, the Galeej Gurus have been well received on the circuit, and have won several college fests and competitions as well as semi professional competitions. Nathan Harris is the Drummer/Vocalist, Bassist/Vocalist - Matthew Harris and Guitarist/Vocalist- Ananth Menon. The versatile band performed hard and soft Rock, Blues, Rock`n`Roll, Jazz, Reggae, Funk, as well as Country, experimenting with fusion of East and West.

Parkites rocked as RJs Maya hosted the event taking center stage and getting people onto the floor to swing to the music. Several Parkites were seen singing along with the Galeej Gurus.

Mr. Chan Kah Hoe, CEO, ITPL, said, "Fun afternoons like these enable Parkites to relax and add to the lively atmosphere of the International Tech Park."
